Who am I?
Hello and welcome… I am glad you stopped by. This site is built with your FAMILY in mind. My mission is to help families organize their home finances (manage their assets), protect their financial future (protect their assets), and possibly find ways to create a second income (grow their assets).
My name is Derek, I have four wonderful children, and I am married to a beautiful woman with whom I owe significant credit for my blessed life. I work full-time as a Portfolio Manager for a corporate trust company, Golden Fiduciary Services, in Denver, CO, managing all of the investment assets for our trust clients. I have been in the financial services industry since 2005 and enjoy helping and working with families.
My family is certainly my greatest asset and I FEEL THE NEED to make sure they are taken care of. We live a very blessed life near family and friends, but it’s my wife’s love, compassion and patience that help me survive every day’s roller coaster ride. We are just like every other family… not enough income, too much debt, no time for the fun stuff, and forever running around just to get everything accomplished.
With that said, I want to make sure my family’s future is taken care of, especially if something happened to me and I were no longer around. It is for that sole reason that I have personally put this website together. I will post, often daily, interesting articles, must-watch videos, new systems, books, software programs, websites I find, exciting deals… you name it. If it has to do with asset management and helping you take care of your family, I will let you know about it.
I love my wife and my kids dearly and have made a concerted effort to have my life’s home finances organized just for them. Frankly, I sincerely hope to help you do the same for your family. What is this site really all about?
If something unfortunate or tragic happened to me, I want my wife to know where all of our important documents are located, how much money we have, how much we generally spend every month, and simply provide her some guidance on how to manage her financial future without me. For this reason, I have collected all my important information into a personal Home Financial Management Binder. This website has the step-by-step instructions to help YOU create one for your spouse and family.
I am the one in our family that takes care of the daily (or monthly) finances. I pay the bills, I manage our investments, I keep us up-to-date on insurances, and I am the one that does the taxes. So, if something happened to me, I want my wife to be prepared. This site contains all the instructions you need to organize a binder on your own time, at your own pace. Organizing your financial life is important for your family’s future and I truly want to help you accomplish that goal. I encourage you to get started today. It’s all very simple, so don’t hesitate and wait until it’s too late to get organized.

Additionally, I use several other tools and resources to help me manage, protect and grow my own assets. We, like many folks, were living paycheck to paycheck, struggling to make it each month with the heavy burden of too much debt and not enough income. I was determined and convinced that I could build my own business, be my own boss, and, simply put, create an income stream that could put money in my bank 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. I knew the internet was a powerful tool, with an enormous and growing audience and I just knew there had to be a way to make extra money and grow my asset base.
Fortunately, there are several ways to accomplish this and there is no single system or product that fits everyone’s needs. So, through my blog, I have provided links to several courses, online training systems, and books that I am currently using and benefiting from. Check it out and you too may find a useful one. Either way, the materials are fantastic and will help you manage your money, protect your family, and potentially launch your own online business and start making money too.
